Sleepytime Down South
For years, thousands have enjoyed this "Secret of Southern Sleep" created from our family’s private formula. The original was created by a Victorian era, Southern druggist who handblended the lulling "Night Y'all" lavender and chamomile scent into pure powders and directed his servants to lightly dust the embroidered bedlinens he shared with his cherished wife, a much younger belle.
"Night Y'all" later became a delightful take-home memento that the druggist's wife shared with family and overnight guests. When the druggist passed away, and the remaining inventory of powders were consumed, the "Night Y'all" formula was forgotten. For years, in true Southern gothic fashion, his mourning widow left their bedroom just as it was the night the druggist died, including his suit, stiff-collared shirt and highly polished shoes that she had selected for him to wear the next day. Visitors often commented on the unique, calming scent that the "Night Y'all" essence rendered that beautiful, haunting room.
Decades and numerous attempts later, Southernness revived the original "Night Y'all" formula. Offered as a handblended Original Sleeping Powder, "Night Y'all" is also available as both a calming mist and as a parlour candle.
The South still enjoys a tradition of relaxed ease. Whether it's just a little "shut eye," or a long nap, or a good night's rest. When it's sleepytime down South, we all know to say "Night Y'all."
